If you are the parent of a 4th grader at PECES, you have undoubtedly heard about our upcoming classroom 4-H presentations contests. This program is designed to help students become more comfortable making a presentation to a group. This is a "how-to" presentation during which students teach their peers how to do our create something. We recruit judges who visit classes and listen to presentations. The judges decide if each participant will receive a blue, red, or white ribbon. They also choose the person in each class with the best overall presentation. This person will receive a purple ribbon and an invitation to our Central District Contests in Appomattox on March 28th.
I love our 4-H presentations program. We have been doing this for years all around the state. As a matter of fact, I remember this as my first 4-H experience!
